Made in Japan
The MA-1 bomber jacket (also known as the MA-1 flight jacket) is an American military jacket which was first developed in 1958
The MA-1 and its predecessor, the B-15 flight jacket, were originally developed and needed at that time because the emergence of the Jet Age created new requirements for pilot performance, safety, and comfort.
Steve McQueen wore one in his final film performance, The Hunter (1980).
The Slender model of this original spec has been changed to a stylish design with a slightly tight silhouette and armholes etc. being arranged finely, rather than Buzz Rickson’s standard MA-1.
Tight fit, the Japanese producer has mostly kept the original sizing specifications and also tried to reproduce it as close as possible to the original.
We discovered this cult brand in consultation with Liam Morrison Phillips.
