The WWII US Army HBT shirt has its origins in World War II. It is made from a sturdy HBT – herringbone cotton twill and comes close to the original fabric used by the US Army in the 40s. This jacket has details similar to the utility shirt [M-47], the difference being the metal buttons are embossed with 13 stars and the gas flap attached on the front closure.
